Sealed bids are invited for various construction contracts at locations throughout New York State, including Albany, Bronx, Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Dutchess, Greene, Onondaga, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Queens, Rensselaer, Richmond, Rockland, Seneca, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tompkins, Ulster, and Westchester. The scope of work covers activities such as bridge washing, regional bridge washing, highway pedestrian safety improvements, pedestrian safety improvements, highway resurfacing, pavement resurfacing, pavement preventative maintenance, retaining wall improvement, bridge rail replacement, intersection improvements, and bridge painting at specified locations. Bidders must provide a bid deposit of 5% of the bid amount, compliant with specific project requirements. The required goals for participation by MBE, WBE, SDVOB, and DBE firms are listed for each contract or specified as 0.00% where applicable. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation. Bonds must be on form CONR 391, and electronic bids must include electronic bonds. Bidders are responsible for incorporating all amendments into their bids. Communication regarding these procurements is restricted to designated persons. Project-related technical questions must be submitted through the Construction Contracting section of the NYSDOT Business Center website. Contracts with 0% goals are single operation contracts where subcontracting is not expected and may provide direct bidding opportunities for small businesses. Bidders are recommended to have an active EBO (Equitable Business Opportunity Solution) account for compliance with NYS Civil Rights reporting requirements. The New York State Department of Transportation affirms that disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap, or income status.
