Sealed bids are requested for providing C-1, C-2, and C-3 gravel for blacktopping parish roads, to be delivered to the job site. The bidder must submit a bid on all three classes of rock. Bids must be per ton only, with no mileage allowed to be added. The bid price must include all applicable taxes and fees. If the accepted bidder cannot deliver within 48 hours, gravel may be purchased from the next lowest bidder. Bidders must include a separate statement setting forth any and all preferences they claim, listing the name and location of the manufacturer if any preferences are claimed. All vendors requesting statutory preferences must meet the statute's requirements. The Police Jury reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and make awards as it elects. Acceptance of a bid constitutes a contract, which cannot be terminated without 30-day written consent signed by both parties.
