Renovation of a parking garage in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Sealed bids are being solicited for Project No. 47698-E, which consists of a contract for Electrical Work to upgrade lighting at the Sheridan Hollow Parking Facility, Sheridan Avenue, Albany, NY. Bids must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and accompanied by a bid security in the amount of $69,800. Successful bidders will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, estimated between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Bidders must comply with restrictions on communications as outlined by State Finance Law §§139-j and 139-k. For this project, New York State has established goals for participation: an overall goal of 30% for MWBE (15% for MBE and 15% for WBE), and a 6% goal for SDVOBs. Bidders are expected to make good faith efforts to promote and assist in the participation of MWBEs and SDVOBs for the provision of services and materials. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled, and prospective bidders are urged to attend. Proper identification and advance scheduling are required for site access. All bid documents and electronic bidding information are available through the OGS Design & Construction’s Electronic Bidding service, Bid Express.
