The project includes the construction of a water line extension in the Indian Run area to approximately 20 customers. The work consists of installing 16,400 linear feet of 6-inch and 2-inch water lines along Indian Run Road, Stillhouse Road, and Haymond Woods Road. The project will also include 20 high pressure water meters, 2 fire hydrants, 4 post flushing hydrants, 6 air release valves, and all related appurtenances. The work is to be substantially completed within 120 calendar days after the contract times commence, with final completion within 150 days. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per day. A two-envelope system will be used for bid submission. Envelope No. 1 must contain the name and address of the bidder, the contract being bid on, and be received by Sun Valley Public Service District. Envelope No. 2, labeled Bid Proposal, is to be placed inside Envelope No. 1. Envelope No. 1 is opened first for compliance, and if all documents are in order, Envelope No. 2 is opened and read publicly. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid. Bidders must provide a Drug Free Workplace Certification according to WV Code 21-1D-5 and possess a West Virginia Contractor's License. The Sun Valley Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
