Site work for a water / sewer project in Calgary, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Scope of work consists of: - A new dam structure downstream from the existing Ghost Lake Hydroelectric Plant; - Supporting infrastructure for the new facility including access roads, support structures and transmission lines; - Relocation of utilities and rail line adjacent to the new reservoir limits; and - Decommissioning, relocation and, removal of the existing Ghost Lake Hydroelectric Plant and supporting facilities. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals (RFP) for engineering services has been awarded. Services will include feasibility study review and assessment; engineering, design and regulatory approvals; and project implementation. The first stage of the project is expected to be completed in spring 2028. Schedules for detailed design, tender and construction will be determined thereafter. Further update may be available in late 2026. *Project cost to be confirmed.
