The project involves the renovation of the Spink County Daycare Center. The scope includes general, mechanical, and electrical construction as detailed in the specification divisions. Work includes, but is not limited to, selective site demolition, earthwork, cast-in-place concrete, metal fabrications, rough and finish carpentry, building insulation, joint sealants, installation of flush wood doors, overhead coiling doors, aluminum windows, door hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical panel ceiling, resilient wall base and accessories, luxury vinyl tile, walk off carpet, special wall surfaces (FRP panels), painting, signs, toilet compartments, toilet and bath accessories, fire protection specialties, plastic laminate casework, solid-surface sills, plumbing specifications, and electrical systems such as general provisions, conductors and cables, grounding and bonding, raceways and boxes, panelboards, wiring devices, enclosed switches and circuit breakers, LED interior lighting, voice and data communication cabling, and addressable voice evacuation fire alarm. All divisions of the work are to be included in one prime construction contract. Instructions require that each bid be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or draft for 5% of the base bid plus all add alternates or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, made payable to Spink County Daycare. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. Copies of the plans and specifications are available at the architects office for bidders.
