Site work for a water / sewer project in Heyworth, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work is officially known as the Prairie Street Improvement Project and consists of the construction of approximately: installation of 100 feet of 15-inch, 100 feet of 18-inch, 460 feet of 24-inch, and 940 feet of 30-inch diameter ADS N-12 Dual Wall Pipe, all provided by the Village; installation of 2 two-foot diameter Type A inlets, 8 four-foot diameter manholes, 2 six-foot by four-foot junction boxes, and 1 headwall special, all provided by the Village; driveway and fence removal and replacement; restoration and various miscellaneous improvements. The contractor shall complete the work within 90 calendar days after the start of work. Regardless of the start date, all work must be completed by August 1, 2026. Progress payments will be made based on work completed, after Village board meetings. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than five percent of the bid amount. This project is considered a public work and is subject to payment of prevailing wages to all employees. The Village reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all proposals.
