Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Ozark, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.

Sealed proposals are requested for a new softball facility for Ariton High School. General Contractors are required to visit the site to examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect or copies thereof and must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Dale County Board of Education in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but no more than $10,000. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds are required at contract signing. Contractors must be licensed as required by Alabama law and must display their current license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. All RFIs and RFAs must be submitted via email using the forms provided in the project manual; no telephone or fax inquiries are accepted. Contractors are responsible for proper supervision of all work at the site. Completion time is specified in the Scope of Work Section in the Project Manual. Project documents can be reviewed online or requested in print from the Architect; print sets must be returned in reusable condition within ten days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors in the best interest of the Owner. Bids shall be held for ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing for receipt of bids without withdrawal. General Contractors bidding on this project shall be required to visit the site to examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal, and visit shall be arranged by the contractor with the school. The project shall be bid excluding taxes. Bids must be submitted on proposal form furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Should any Bidder or subcontractor find any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the Drawings and Project Manual, or insufficient information to provide a complete job, or be in doubt as to the intent and meaning thereof, he should at once report such in writing to Architect and request clarification prior to bidding B. Clarification shall be made only by written Addenda during the bid period and sent to all perspective Bidders. The Architect and Consultants shall not be responsible for verbal answers regarding intent or meaning of the Contract Documents, or for any verbal instructions, by whomsoever made, prior to the award of the Contract. All RFIs and RFAs regarding the bid documents shall be sent and addressed through emails found on the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual. NOTE: ONLY THE RFI AND RFA FORMS IN THE PROJECT MANUAL WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax.
