The work consists of installation of Metron Prism cellular registers on approximately 694 existing domestic water meters, meter and register replacement of approximately 85 domestic water meters, and related items of work as specified in the Standard Specifications and special provisions, and as directed by the Engineer. Bids are accepted for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction according to drawings and specifications and Contract Documents, as well as other work not specifically mentioned but which may be required as directed by the Engineer or his designated representative. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A (General Engineering), Class C-34 (Pipeline), or Class C-36 (Plumbing) License at the time that the contract is awarded. Bidders must submit bid security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and a faithful performance bond, both equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. All bidders must purchase a complete bid set from BPXpress Reprographics to be added to the plan holder's list, considered responsive, and to receive addenda notifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations, and all prevailing wage requirements apply.
