Renovation of an educational facility in Lagrange, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals from General Contractors are invited for the construction of renovations to Long Cane Middle School at 326 Long Cane Rd, LaGrange, GA 30240. Proposal forms and construction documents can be examined at Southern A & E’s office or requested online. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is required for eligibility to submit a proposal. Proposals must include a completed Competitive Sealed Proposal Form, signed Bid Form, bid bond, a Contractor Affidavit and Agreement demonstrating compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, and affidavits verifying lawful presence within the United States through the SAVE program. A bid bond of five percent of the base bid is required, and performance and payment bonds of one hundred percent of the contract sum are required before construction commences. All bonds must be from a surety licensed in Georgia. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon labor standards as it is federally funded. The Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities and to reject any or all proposals.
