Items considered subsidiary to the items on the bid form will include all required reinforcing steel, all concrete saw cutting, membrane curing and forms for all concrete placement, saw joint cutting of pavement, joint sealing of pavement, all trucking costs associated with haul off and/or delivery of any item, the removal of existing subgrade for new flex base placement. The Contractor will be solely responsible for the following: o Any necessary irrigation system repairs and turf replacements due to irrigation repairs or contractor negligence. o The adjustment of any meter/irrigation boxes resulting from the project. o All damaged private property shall be repaired or replaced at Contractor's sole expense. Claims must be made within 30 days of project completion. o To ensure that the delivery of the United States mail is not interrupted. o To ensure the scheduled trash and recycling service for the area is not interrupted. o To verify the actual location and elevation of all utilities prior to commencement of any work. Prior to the start of any work, the awarded contractor shall: o Attend a preconstruction meeting at the Frisco Public Works facility at an agreed to date and time. o Obtain a City of Frisco Right of Way permit for the project. Permit fees are waived for city projects. o Provide a project schedule. o Request and receive all utility locates within the project limits. o Provide submittals for City approval, including but not limited to, suppliers and designs for concrete, flex base, geo textiles, and joint seal, to be used on the project. o Submit a blank pay request form for City approval. Concrete Requirements o All concrete pours shall be scheduled with the City's representative in order to allow them to be present during the concrete replacement. o All concrete pavement removed/replaced shall be done to the existing joint. Only full panel replacement will be allowed o All concrete pavements being placed shall have a minimum of 12" of flex base compacted in place prior to any concrete placement. o All concrete placed for pavement, regardless of pavement depth, shall be vibrated by mechanical means. o All sidewalk concrete shall be Class "A", minimum 3000 psi, 28 day compressive. o All barrier free ramps shall be Class "P1" 4000 psi, 28 day compressive. All pavement, including curb and gutter, shall be Class "P1", if machine finished with a 4000 psi, 28 day compressive or "P2" if hand finished with a 4500 psi, minimum, 28 day compressive. o All concrete marked for removal shall be saw cut. Breakers will not be allowed for removal. o Concrete shall be deemed "High-Early" if it is designed to, and does, reach 3000psi within 24 hours of placement. o The use of volumetric concrete trucks for concrete placement will not be allowed. o All existing pavement subgrade shall be compacted in place to a density not less than 95% before any new flexible base is added. o No placed pavement will be opened to traffic, residential or construction, until the placed concrete has been shown to have reached 75% of the designed 28-day strength. The work to be performed under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of the removal and replacement of the concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, in Pearson Farms subdivision in the City of Frisco Intent to Bid by Jan 20, 2026 2:00 PM CST.
