The project involves the installation of a generator at Andersonville Elementary. Firm prime contractor bids are requested for plumbing, electrical, and architectural trades related to this generator installation. Bids must be submitted electronically through PreconSuite or as hard copies in duplicate, completed using the forms provided in the Project Manual, sealed in an opaque envelope, and marked with the name of the bidder and the project name. Bids must be addressed and delivered as specified. Each proposal over $31,321 must include a bid bond or cashier's check equal to at least 5% of the proposal amount. For electronically submitted bids using a cashier's check, the check must be delivered to the specified address before the bid opening. All proposals must remain valid for at least sixty (60) days. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more are required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond equaling 100% of the bid amount, and the cost of this bond must be included in the proposal. Bid submissions must be accompanied by sworn and notarized statements disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder and members of the board or superintendent, as well as statements for the Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit of Compliance, Equal Opportunity Statement, and Affidavit of Compliance - Criminal Background Checks. Proposals lacking these statements will not be accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity or to award to a bidder other than the lowest, based on its sole discretion.
