Online sealed bids for the construction of New Public Works Facility will be received by Lancaster Township via the PennBid Program. Bids will be received for the following contracts: General Construction, Fire Suppression/Plumbing Construction, HVAC Construction, Electrical Construction, and Fuel Island Construction. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at no cost at pennbid.bonfirehub.com. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted via PennBid's Public Q&A section. No questions will be accepted by phone, fax, or direct e-mail. Each bidder must deposit, with the bid, security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor and incorporated in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days after the actual date of opening unless delayed due to required approvals, in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978, as amended.
