Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) is soliciting Bids from qualified Bidders for the provision of E-Rate Category 2 Internal Fiber. The successful Bidder will establish a new internal, armored fiber cabling infrastructure to support high-speed connectivity between network distribution frames at three (3) MCPS locations (the "Work") in accordance with the Terms and Conditions stated herein at the prices listed in the Pricing Schedule. SCOPE OF WORK Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) is soliciting Bids from qualified Bidders for the provision of E-Rate Category 2 Internal Fiber. The successful Bidder will establish a new internal, armored fiber cabling infrastructure to support high-speed connectivity between network distribution frames at three (3) MCPS locations (the "Work") in accordance with the Terms and Conditions stated herein at the prices listed in the Pricing Schedule. 1. GENERAL INFORMATION a. The Bidder will provide and install an Optimized Multimode Fiber Optic Cable (OM4) between each Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) connection according to the specifications below at the following three MCPS locations: i. R.C. Haydon Elementary School (9075 Park Avenue, Manassas, Virginia 20110) a. MDF to IDF1: Approximately 264 feet b. MDF to IDF2: Approximately 342 feet ii. George C. Round Elementary School (10100 Hastings Drive, Manassas, Virginia 20110) a. MDF to IDF1: Approximately 279 feet iii. Weems Elementary School (8750 Weems Road, Manassas, Virginia 20110) a. MDF to IDF1: Approximately 396 feet b. MDF to IDF2: Approximately 323 feet b. Reference EXHIBITS A, B, and C for maps and additional details. c. Proposals must be all-inclusive and turnkey, covering all labor, materials, hardware, terminations, panels, connectors, testing, certification, documentation, and any related fees. d. The Bidder will provide a proposed implementation plan and sample timeline. e. The Bidder will clearly distinguish E-Rate eligible and ineligible costs in the proposal using the format in the Pricing Schedule. f. The installed cabling will be capable of supporting at least 10 Gbps performance with the physical characteristics suitable for future upgrades to 40 Gbps, without replacement of cabling.
