Renovation of a mixed-use development in Mayetta, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,309-square-foot educational facility.
Locations- Royal Valley Elementary School, 101 W 1st St, Hoyt, KS 66440 Royal Valley Middle School, 204 S 4th St, Mayetta, KS 66509 Royal Valley USD 337 Board of Education will receive sealed bids on Roofing Contract for construction, including but not limited to incidental plumbing, HVAC, electrical and general work associated with the roof replacement/roofing repairs, for the referenced project as described below. Complete roof replacement work and miscellaneous painting. The Roofing Contractor will be considered the Prime Contractor Abbreviated written summary: Briefly and without force and effect on Contract Documents, work of Contract can be summarized as follows: Approximate area of Elementary School Renovation: 5,739 SF Approximate area of Middle School Renovation: 1,570 SF 1) Interior Remodel: a. Elementary School: Replacement of existing VCT flooring with Resinous flooring in the basement hallway and classroom entries, removal and replacement of existing plastic laminate casework, cubbies and sinks b. Middle School: Renovation of lower level science classroom and art classroom for new science classrooms including flooring, wood laboratory casework, wall finishes, and plumbing modifications. 2) Schedule: Intent is to bid and award the contract and develop submittals and place orders for materials in time that work can take place during Summer 2026. a) Award: A specific date of substantial completion will be determined upon award of contract. Question Deadline 01/16/2026 Each Bidder shall examine the bidding documents carefully and, not later than five (5) days prior to the date for receipt of bids (August 1, 2024), shall make written request to the Architect for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which he may discover.
