This solicitation includes a VSBE participation Goal of zero percent WORK INCLUDES THE DEMOLITION, REMOVAL, INSTALLATION AND COMISSIONING OF A 4-TON PACKAGED COOLING ROOFTOP UNIT W/ GAS HEATING AND NEW ROOF CURB ADAPTERS FOR MDOT DISTRICT 4 GOLDEN RING LANSCAPE DEPOT OFFICE LOCATED AT 8355 PULASKI HIGHWAY, ROSEDALE, MARYLAND 21237 OBJECTIVE: The Maryland State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for a licensed, qualified, and experienced contractor to furnish and install all equipment, materials, supplies, labor, and hardware to demo, remove and install a new 4-Ton (R-454B) charged Package Cooling Rooftop Unit with Gas heating at District 4 Golden Ring Landscape Depot Office located at 8355 Pulaski Hwy, Rosedale, Maryland 21237 II. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: A. Remove the existing Packaged RTU from the rooftop of the building. Furnish and install a new TRANE or approved equal, 4-Ton, R-454B charged, High Efficiency Package Cooling Unit with Gas Heating. The contractor shall provide the products listed below or a comparable system that can be integrated with future Building Automation Systems. B. Removal and installation work will be scheduled with MDOT-SHA POC, so as not to disrupt normal business operations. o Shut down units and lock out electrical power supply. o Recover and dispose of refrigerant charge per the EPA regulations o Includes crane staging and rigging service. o Remove and properly dispose of the existing unit. o Remove and replace existing curb adapter with new curb adapter. o Furnish and install a new packaged rooftop units onto the new curb adapter. o Connect all existing supply and return ducts, or REPLACE AS NEEDED o Furnish and install new electrical power disconnects, conduit from junction box to unit new disconnect and terminal board where the new unit footprint requires. o Remove existing wiring and connect new electrical wiring. o Install new programmable digital thermostats; Honeywell 8000 or approved equal. o Furnish and install new condensation drain lines to the nearest storm drain. o Provide Trane factory start-up commissioning, One Year Warranty and O&M manuals for all new equipment installed. o Provide a five (5) year compressor parts warranty and maintenance on all RTUs. o Provide a Certified Test and Balance on the new unit to confirm supply air Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) to SHA.
