Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
This project will replace the Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake youth prisons with a correctional facility that can accommodate 32 boys and 8 girls. As of January 2, 2026, further information regarding a design firm has not yet been established. Construction is expected to begin in later 2026 and last approximately two years.
