The project will consist of construction of a trapezoidal channel, v-ditch down drain and reconstruction of the eroded slope north of Central Avenue, between Chicago Avenue and Chapala Drive. Site Assessment and Project Set-Up As part of the site assessment and project set-up we performed the following. Performed a site visit with Kevin Goodwin and Jeannette Guereca from the City of Riverside (City) to evaluate the existing conditions and equipment access. Reviewed available previous geologic/geotechnical reports/publications of the site and the surrounding area. Reviewed the previous As-Built construction drawings provided. Reviewed faulting and seismic hazard maps and groundwater data. Conducted a site reconnaissance to map the existing surface geotechnical conditions and stake/mark the field exploration locations. Obtained a no-fee permit from the City. Notified Underground Service Alert (USA) at least 48 hours prior to drilling to clear the boring locations of any conflict with existing underground utilities. Engaged a California licensed drill rig company to drill the borings.
