Renovation of a museum in Battle Creek, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The project consists of removal and replacement of the grand staircase top tier, with the existing volume below to be infilled with flowable fill as indicated in the plans. The scope includes perimeter waterproofing, encompassing excavation, waterproofing application, and backfill in accordance with project specifications. The north exterior stair and adjacent spaces are to be removed, with new masonry wall infill, foundation waterproofing, and drainage improvements for the storage area. Additional subgrade and exterior work shall be completed as shown in the drawings and described in the specifications. Work also includes recommissioning of mechanical systems as well as mechanical upgrades and repairs on existing equipment. Alternate work scopes include limestone and brick veneer restoration, window and exterior door replacement, and lower-level egress stair modifications. Refer to the list of alternates and construction documents for the complete scope of work. Bids must be submitted to the secure bid management website as one PDF along with the bid bond and any other required documents. Do not email bids. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via Zoom. Further details and instructions are listed on the bid management website.
