The Project consists of constructing a new water distribution system including, water distribution mains, building water services and water meters, and rehabilitation the wastewater collection system including lining of manholes, replacement of manhole frames and covers, spot repairs of sewer pipes and installation of new clean-outs. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. No pre-bid conference will be held. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder may visit the Site during normal working hours, and shall not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. Access to the Town of Quantico is only through M arine Corps Base Quantico via the Fuller Road Gate. Bidders are required to obtain a day pass to visit the site from the Visitor Control Center Visitor Control Center at 27031X Telegraph Road, Stafford, VA 22554. Visitors should note the Visitor Control Center operating hours and be aware that some vehicles are subject to inspection at the Visitor Control Center. Visitors can expedite obtaining a day pass by using the DBIDSsystem to register at DBIDS. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
