Sealed proposals are being requested for lead water service line replacements. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Village of Calumet Park, including the name and address of the bidder and the project name on the envelope. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Engineer, obtained electronically from Robinson Engineering, Ltd. Bids must include a bid bond of not less than five percent of the bid value. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond for 100% of the bid amount. Contractors must pay prevailing wage rates as established by the U.S. Department of Labor and comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Prequalification is required for all potential bidders, and qualifications and experience will be considered in determining the lowest responsible bidder. The contractor or subcontractor responsible for the water service line replacement must be a licensed plumbing contractor in Illinois, and a copy of the Plumbing License is required before contract award. Contractors must also be registered through Sam.gov with a unique Entity ID Number. This project will be partially funded by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and is subject to relevant federal and state procurement regulations, including affirmative efforts for disadvantaged business enterprises and compliance with Executive Order No. 11246.
