Renovation of an office development in Emporia, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.
The work includes structural improvements to the floor and roof systems, construction of two new ADA compliant restrooms and one ADA compliant shower, new offices, new electrical and associated lighting systems, new stairs at the alley, and a new stair enclosure for the basement. The scope also covers a series of bid alternates which may be accepted in any order. Alternates include removing the existing roof membrane and insulation down to the wood decking, replacing rotted decking, installing a new fully adhered TPO roofing system with associated insulation and products, providing manufacturer roofing and workmanship warranties, new electric service, new HVAC systems for the first floor, basement, and second floor, a new smoothie drink area with plumbing fixtures and cabinets, and improvements to the alley façade. Bid security of 5% is required, and performance, payment, and surety bonds must be included in the contract sum. Drawings and specifications are available for deposit or purchase, and digital PDFs are available at no cost after registration.
