The project scope is to furnish all required supervision, labor, materials, transportation, equipment, chemicals, and tools necessary for the surface preparation, coatings, and inspections to paint all exterior steel surfaces of MLGW's Capleville LNG Storage Tank located at 5101 E. Holmes Road, Memphis, TN 38118, using Tnemec Company products only. The work is to be done in strict accordance with the contract documents and specifications. Potential bidders are required to attend a mandatory site visit. The selected bidder for this project will not be awarded Contract No. 12614, LNG Storage Tank Painting Inspection. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated, with appropriate classifications and license monetary limits to meet or exceed the bid price. Bidder's qualifications must be submitted by reference letter, indicating the contract number and title on the front page and envelope. Before execution of the contract, the successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid price or as determined by MLGW, and a Contractor's Labor and Materials Payment Bond in a determined sum of no less than 25% of the bid price. No electronic submissions will be accepted; only hard copies of bid documents will be accepted. All documentation as required in the Local Bidding Preference or Local Bidding Presence Policy must be submitted with the bidder's qualifications. MLGW reserves the right to reject bids, to waive minor irregularities, and to accept any bid or portion of the bid it deems most favorable to its interests.
