Addition to a mixed-use development in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a 13,500-square-foot fire / police facility.
The project is for the design and construction of an expansion to the Tactical Training Center at the Police Department, located at 10500 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The expansion will add approximately 13,500 square feet to the existing building. The new space will include three large training rooms, an exercise gym, storage, and restrooms. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience, adequate resources, and the ability to complete the project within the established schedule and budget. Proposals must be submitted through the specified e-procurement platform. It is the responsibility of the proposers to ensure all relevant information is included in their proposal and to carefully examine the requirements. Any questions regarding the requirements must be submitted in writing via the e-procurement platform. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities or technicalities, and to award the contract under terms and conditions deemed to best serve the City's interests. Question Deadline 02/03/2026 at 11:30 PM ET PROJECT DESCRIPTION 1. The project consists of the design and construction of an approximately 13,000- square-foot building addition to the current facility. The expansion will support the City's public safety training operations and is anticipated to include, at a minimum: Three large multi-purpose training rooms suitable for classroom instruction, scenario-based training, and tactical exercises, and restroom facilities to support increased occupancy and training capacity. 2. The existing Training Center building shall remain, with construction limited to minor improvements to the existing simulator room. All site improvements shall be by owner through separate contract agreement. The Design-Build team's limit of work shall be to ten feet (10'-0") outside the building footprint. All utilities shall be provided to within ,ive feet (5'-0") of the building footprint in the area requested by the Design-Build team per the Owner-approved design. A complete construction-ready pad site to rough grading with existing utilities marked will be provided by The City. No off-site work is included in the Design-Build team scope. 3. Conceptual site plan and building space diagrams are provided in Section 2 and intended to show size and adjacency of the various building components. 4. The Guaranteed Maximum Price for the project is inclusive of all planning, design, permitting, construction and commissioning and other services to deliver a complete, Design-Build, "turnkey" project in conformance with the requirements of this Design Criteria. Programming and space planning information is included in this RFP, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the Design Build Team to work with staff to design, permit and construct a facility that meets the budget and time allotment indicated in Section 2.
