The work to be completed under this contract includes all labor, equipment, and materials to remove existing features in the block of West 2nd Avenue between Forrest and Fayette Streets for the construction of a U-shaped, one-way street from and to Forrest Street and a public plaza consisting of a memorial plaza, viewing plaza, and stage with amphitheater-style seating, with associated work including but not limited to retaining walls, stairs, railing, handrail, shade structure, electrical service, sidewalk, curb, signage, curb ramps, landscaping, lighting, asphalt pavement, and line striping as shown on the drawings and described in the project manual. The work also includes soil erosion and sedimentation control measures, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, and restoration.
