All communication concerning this Solicitation should be addressed to the SCWA's Purchasing Manager, John Deubel, 631-292-6032 or at John.Deubel@scwa.com. The work to be done includes the furnishing and delivery of all materials, labor, plant, equipment, tools and any other item of expense, together with the necessary supervision required to complete the work as stipulated under the Detailed Specifications and/or shown on the Drawings. Therefore, omission of specific mention of the fact from any part of the Specifications shall not be deemed a waiver of the Contractor's obligation to furnish all supervision, material, labor, plant, equipment, tools, and any other item of expense required to complete the work. The work intended by this Contract is to construct well enclosure buildings to afford protection of pump, motor, minor electrical equipment, and miscellaneous appurtenances. The foundations for well enclosure buildings constructed under this Contract will be furnished by others prior to issuance of "Notification to Proceed." Every item shown on the Drawings or described in the Specifications, unless noted "By Others" or "By SCWA," shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor. The work shall include but is not limited to the following: i. Furnish and install precast concrete walls, wood framed roof, roof insulation, roof sheathing, ceiling, interior trim, roofing, vinyl siding and associated components, fascia, soffit, gutter and leaders, trim work. ii. Painting of the interior ceiling and trim. iii. Deliver double door and frame with all associated hardware attached or supplied from Authority's storage facility to the jobsite and install same. iv. Furnish and install fan and louver complete with exterior guards. v. Furnish and install Babcock-Davis manufactured roof hatch with pitch correction as shown on drawings. vi. Removal of all equipment, materials and debris associated with the work. A separate purchase order, with supplemental details and drawings, subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, will be issued to the Contractor for each specific job or group of jobs, stipulating the location of the proposed buildings. It is to be understood by the Contractor that the work will be done at various sites now owned by the Authority within the aforementioned townships in Suffolk County, NY; also, that he will accept purchase orders from time to time, covering proposed work, when so directed by the Engineer, during the period of the Contract. The Contractor shall have available for Authority work a minimum of one (1) crew and necessary equipment and supplies to complete the work as described in the Detailed Specifications within then time limit specified. Because of the nature of this work and the emergency situations that may arise during the life of the Contract, the Contractor must have the necessary equipment and personnel available at all times. Quantities stated in the Bidder's Proposal are estimated based on proposed work to be completed during the first year of the Contract. However, the Suffolk County Water Authority is not able to determine in advance the exact quantity of well head enclosure buildings to be constructed during the life of this Contract, therefore, the Authority makes no representation or guarantee that the quantities of work set forth herein for bid computation purposes are either minimum or maximum amounts of work to be performed under the terms of this Contract. In the event the Contractor requests to work on a Saturday or Holiday, he may do so providing he pays the Authority's Inspectors' time at the present hourly rate. This amount shall be deducted from the Contractor's invoice. However, if the Authority requests a Contractor to work on a Saturday or Holiday, this fee can be waived.
