The project is for wildland fire hazardous fuels reduction by hand cutting and stacking live and dead Pinyon Pine, Juniper trees, shrubs, and saplings. The contractor is to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals for the task. The project area totals approximately 10.73 acres as identified on an attached site map. Pre-qualification requirements: Participation is limited to prequalified contractors only. Contractors must be on the current Pre-approved/Pre-qualified Vendor list. U3P - JH26-30 Questions Due Date: Jan 7th 2026, 2:00 PM MST Questions Online Portal The question and answer period closes on the date and time specified on U3P. All questions must be submitted through U3P during the question and answer period. Forestry, Fire, and State Lands (FFSL), is acquiring services in this contract to provide for wildland fire hazardous fuels reduction by hand cutting/stacking live and dead Pinyon Pine, Juniper trees, Shrubs, and saplings. This task order includes the Contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals. Project area totals approximately 10.73 acres as identified on attached site map Work under this contract is located at Mammoth Creek in Garfield County, Utah. The work location is shown on the general location and site maps. Mammoth Creek Fuels Reduction consists of hand cutting, processing poles, and chipping activity slash. The treatment boundaries will not be flagged and must be located by electronic device capable of using geo-referenced maps. The work location is shown on the general location and site maps. Access to the site: Access onto the project site is provided by a combination of paved highways, county dirt surface roads and jeep trails. Four (4) wheel drive vehicles are recommended in and around the project area. It will be the contractor's responsibility to get the equipment to the work site. All live Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fire, and White fir trees within treatment area 6-inch DBH and less will be cut. Leave tree drip line to drip line spacing will be 20 foot by 20 foot minimum. In an instance when this minimum leave tree spacing would be exceeded, 6-inch DBH trees and less will be left as leave trees to maintain the minimum of 20-foot drip line spacing. A site visit will NOT be held prior to bidding.
