Sealed bids are requested for Project No. 47239-P, which is a contract for Plumbing Work to upgrade the domestic hot water tank at Building 80, Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center, located at 197 Half Hollow Rd., Dix Hills, Suffolk County, NY. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must include a bid security of $25,600. Wicks Exempt Projects require submission of form BDC 59 as specified. Successful bidders must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, which is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. There are restrictions on communications during the procurement process as outlined by State Finance Law. The substantial completion date for the project is 238 days after agreement approval. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled, and attendance requires advance notification and proper identification. Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) participation goals are set at 10%, with 5% for MBE and 5% for WBE. A goal of 3% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) is also established. All bidders are expected to comply with these requirements and make good faith efforts in meeting participation goals. The Office of General Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
