The work consists of the installation of approximately 4,497 linear feet of 6-inch PVC, 4,585 linear feet of 8-inch PVC, 653 linear feet of 12-inch PVC, and associated appurtenances. The Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials needed, including crushed stone stabilization material, imported backfill material, regrassing, asphalt pavement repair, concrete pavement repair, concrete thrust blocking, and collars. The Town will not furnish any material as outlined in the Supplemental Conditions. Bidders must accompany their proposals with a certified check or bid bond amounting to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid. For work valued at $30,000 or more, bidders must be qualified under the current South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law, and the license number must appear on the front of the bid envelope. Bids cannot be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after closing. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities and technicalities. Questions regarding plans and specifications must be submitted at least seven days before the bid date and will be answered via written addendum.
