Sealed proposals are requested for the Gadsden Sports Park Phase V project, Bid Request No. 3608, located in the City of Gadsden, Alabama. Bids must be submitted to the City Clerk either by mail or in person. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at the specified time and place. Specifications and contract documents are available for public inspection and can be distributed electronically at no cost upon request. All bidders must register with Three Notch to submit a bid; bids from unregistered bidders will be rejected. Each bid must include either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank payable to the City of Gadsden or a bid bond from an authorized surety, in an amount equal to the lesser of five percent of the bid or $10,000. The successful bidder will be required to provide satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance as specified within ten days of contract award notification. Bidders cannot withdraw bids within sixty days of opening and must comply with all relevant Alabama public works and contractor licensing laws. The contract is tax-exempt. By entering into the contract, parties must affirm compliance with federal immigration law and certify non-segregated and handicap-accessible facilities.
