The New York State Department of Transportation is assisting in the selection of a Subcontractor to provide services for Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) and access equipment and timber planking removal and reinstallation for crews performing a Bridge Inspection of the FDR Drive 34th Street Viaduct between E25th Street and E42nd Street in New York County. The Subcontractor shall provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment related to WZTC and timber planking removal/reinstallation services on the FDR Drive 34th Street Viaduct mainline and service roads for inspection work. All work, equipment, and procedures must meet the requirements of NYSDOT Standard Specifications, MUTCD, regulations, directives, guidelines, policies, procedures, manuals, and all applicable laws. The Subcontractor must have at least five years of experience in WZTC and operation of relevant equipment, and flag persons must have at least six months of experience. All personnel must have the necessary certifications and be able to communicate effectively. The Subcontractor must visit the site as a condition of bidding and is responsible for on-site safety.
