The project consists of reconfiguration and renovation of an existing office suite on the First Floor and a small renovation on the Third Floor for converting an existing break room into two new single person restrooms. Work includes demolition of walls, ceilings, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and finishes. New work includes new walls, ceilings, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and finishes. Project Location: 128 W. Main Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052. Completion- (140) consecutive calendar days Bidders must have a license to work as a contractor in the State of North Carolina and place their contractor's license number on the envelope containing their bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit of cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder is required to enter into a contract and furnish a performance bond for the full amount of the contract. Copies of the Instructions to Bidders, Agreement, Special Provisions, and Project Plans may be obtained from Duncan Parnell via their bid room, and registration is required to obtain the bid documents. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of Gaston County for a period of sixty (60) days. Each bid should include a letter from the bidder's insurance representative certifying that the insurer will issue the required policies if awarded the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, defined as one with satisfactory experience, ability, sufficient capital, facilities, and the capability of meeting bonding and insurance requirements, who is also in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations applicable to the project. Bids cannot be considered from companies debarred by the federal government or the State of North Carolina. Gaston County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or award a contract in its best interest.
