Renovation of a municipal facility in Hagerstown, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
A plan produced and sealed by a registered structural engineer is available that describes the need for temporary support for a problem beam to stabilize the building so restoration work can begin. The engineering firm of Matonak and Associates of Hagerstown has prepared a plan for providing temporary supports for the problem beam to stabilize the building so work can begin. It involves a temporary post in the basement and one above it on the first floor, supporting the split or separated beam. Those plans are attached to this email. The contractor is responsible for obtaining any permits required for the work. Work involves a temporary post in the basement supporting the first floor main beam one above it on the first floor supporting the main beam between the first and second floors. The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Maryland invites interested and qualified firms to submit proposals for contracting services associated with the Interior temporary shoring of a historic building in anticipation of its restoration at 132 Bethel St. Hagerstown, MD 21740. The necessary building permits from the City of Hagerstown will be secured for this project once RFP has been accepted. Project is funded by a grant by the State of Maryland and work and payment terms shall be in accordance with State procurement regulations.
