Site work for a civil project in Brampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
TRCA has identified a stormwater drainage swale with a high level of sediment accumulation within the channel and outlet structures. The buildup of this material threatens the stormwater and road infrastructure as it reduces the overall capacity and stormwater conveyance. The drainage swale is approximately 300 meters in length and is located between two drainage ponds to the south of the warehouse at 100 Sandalwood Parkway West, located within the City of Brampton. The drainage swale runs parallel to Sandalwood Parkway West and terminates at the drainage pond to the west of the intersection of Hurontario Street and Sandalwood Parkway West, The aim of the project involves the dredging and return of the stormwater swale to as-built conditions, as well as the maintenance of the riprap drainage swales within the project area. This includes removing all built-up sediment and vegetation (phragmites, cattails, etc.) and dredging the drainage swale to improve conveyance.
