Paving and renovation of a swimming pool in Arvada, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
Base bid is for removing a portion of existing concrete pool deck on Secrest Rec Center exterior pool deck and replacing with new. Some pipe repairs (by others) may be necessary before new concrete is installed. Bid alternate #1 is to remove and replace the remaining area of concrete pool deck. Bid alternate #2 is to remove and replace concrete floor in pump room. Please submit proposals via email to: PO@ApexPRD.Org. SCOPE: The Apex Park and Recreation District is issuing this Solicitation for the purpose of: Base Bid: o Remove concrete pool deck & replace with 4" concrete [Area #1 -1,200sq.ft., Area #2 - 2,800sq.ft. = Approximately 4,000sq.ft. Total Area] *Contractor to verify this area in the field. o Install new 6" concrete pathway from pool deck to East parking lot. [Approximately 360sq.ft.] *Contractor to verify this area in the field. o Procure and install new surge pit lid. This should be flush to the top surface of new concrete. I must have all protrusions such as hinges and access handle(s) flush to the walking surface so that it can be walked on barefoot by pool patrons. o Remove, store and replace all existing site features. This includes any bolt down fencing. o Provide temporary fencing to secure area during construction. o Maintain staff access to acid room, chlorine room, lifeguard exterior door, and wellness pool exterior door during construction. o Maintain emergency egress access from building during construction. o Modify irrigation stations to accommodate new concrete sidewalk being installed. o Restore all landscaping damaged during construction, to include near new sidewalk. o Concrete surface texture needs to be approved by owner prior to pour day(s). This approval requires test samples to be poured, broom finished, sealed and cured prior to inspection process. It is recommended that samples are minimum 24"x24"x 3.5" in size. o Contractor must understand that some potential pipe repairs may/will be needed to be performed on the pool (in the "Base Bid" areas) after the concrete deck is removed and before the new concrete is installed. o Provide and install new 3' high fencing to be added around west most slide structure. Bid Alternate #1: o Remove & Replace 4" pool deck [ Approximately 7,847 sq.ft.] Contractor to provide price as a Linear Foot calculation because budget will dictate how much of this area is actually replaced. *Contractor to verify the area in the field. If this scope of work fits the project budget, the "Y" shaped slide structure at the bottom of the image will not be re-installed. o Remove, store and replace all existing site features. This includes any bolt down fencing. Any chain link fencing will need to be replaced with black aluminum picket fencing to match other areas of existing fencing. o Provide temporary fencing to secure area during construction. o Maintain staff access to acid room, chlorine room, lifeguard exterior door, and wellness pool exterior door during construction. o Maintain emergency egress access from building during construction. o Restore all landscaping damaged during construction, to include area near new sidewalk. o Concrete surface texture needs to be approved by owner prior to pour day(s). Bid Alternate #2: o Remove & Replace 4" interior pump room floor. [Approximate Total Area =528 sq.ft.] *Contractor to verify the area in the field. o Provide temporary fencing to secure area during construction. o Maintain staff access to acid room, chlorine room, lifeguard exterior door, and wellness pool exterior door during construction. o Maintain emergency egress access from building during construction. o Restore all landscaping damaged during construction, to include near new sidewalk. o All damage to equipment and pipping in this area will be responsibility of contractor to fix with like or better.
