The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the installation of 2,995 LF of 10-inch water main, 1,049 LF of 8-inch water main, 627 LF of 8-inch water main by pipe bursting, 134 LF of 6-inch water main, (12) 10-inch gate valves, (10) 8-inch gate valves, (8) Fire Hydrant Assemblies with 6" Gate Valves; (61) water service curb stop valve replacements; cast-iron pipe removal; removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, valley gutters, and bituminous pavement; storm sewer catch basin replacements; seed bed preparation and seeding with hydro-mulch; erosion control; traffic control; pavement markings; temporary water service; mobilization, incidental items, and all other work as fully depicted in the drawings and project manual. Furnishing to the City of Minot of all transportation, labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, permits, utilities, and other items necessary to construct said work, in accordance with the drawings and contract documents on file in the office of the City Clerk, Minot, North Dakota. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond with Acknowledgement or Surety, Acknowledgement of Principal, and Power of Attorney in an amount not less than 5% of the full amount of the bid made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City of Minot, North Dakota. The bid bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal's Bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, the Principal shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and contractor's performance and payment bonds as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the City of Minot. If the City of Minot elects to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, and the lowest responsible bidder does not execute a contract within ten (10) days, the bidder's bond will be forfeited to the City of Minot, and the City of Minot may award the project to the next lowest responsible bidder. Each bidder must possess a valid North Dakota Contractor's license of the proper class, as required by Chapter 43-07-07 of the North Dakota Century Code. Each bidder MUST include a copy of their Contractor's License or Certificate of Renewal, issued by the North Dakota Secretary of State, and each license must be valid and dated at least 10 days prior to the date set for bid opening, as required under Chapter 43-07-12 of the North Dakota Century Code.
