Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.
The project is multi-phased and involves work in several areas of multiple buildings, each with unique scopes. The Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) will be responsible for developing both the overall and individual project schedules to ensure coordination and minimize campus disruption while executing the work efficiently. The target is to achieve substantial project completion by April 1, 2027. The CMAR is also tasked with continuous value engineering, constructability review, and cost estimating during each phase of the design to ensure the scope aligns with the budget. All work areas are surrounded by occupied spaces, including research areas with human and animal activities, so minimizing disruption is a high priority. Safety around construction for students and staff who occupy the campus at all times must remain a top priority during all construction phases.
