The City of Saint John is inviting quotations from contractors to provide labour, materials, equipment, accessories, etc. as required to complete the Special Bulky Item Pickup, as per the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings. It is the intention of the City to establish a one-year supply agreement with the option for an additional one-year extension. Vendors are required to submit pricing for Special Bulky Item Pickup: Residential Refuse Special Bulky Item Pickup. Price is to be all inclusive, reflecting the cost of pick-up, haul and dump. Bidders must have a Bidding System Vendor account and be registered as a Plan Taker for the bid opportunity, download and acknowledge all addenda, and submit all bids electronically through the Bidding System. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their submission is received by the system before the closing date and time. The bid price shall include all wages, fringe benefits, insurance, transportation, working tools, equipment costs, and other charges incurred to provide the required services. Proof of insurance is mandatory. New Brunswick bidders must provide WorkSafeNB and Corporate Affairs certificates; out-of-province bidders must provide equivalent documentation. Bids will be awarded to the lowest compliant bidder as determined by the City. The City may reject unbalanced bids, amend the scope, require additional information, or cancel the process at any time. Only electronic bid submissions are accepted; hardcopy submissions are not permitted. All costs, including taxes, are extra and must be accounted for separately. The City reserves various rights in the award and administration of the contract.
