Renovation of a laboratory facility in Hanover, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,884-square-foot laboratory facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and services necessary to perform asbestos abatement at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL). The work includes removal and disposal of 3,884 square feet of asbestos floor tile, attached thin set mortar, and 83 linear feet of sheetrock, as well as associated mastic and cove molding. Specific areas include multiple rooms where carpet overlays asbestos tiles; the contractor is responsible for removing and disposing of carpet in these rooms. The contractor must ensure no asbestos fibers remain or enter other parts of the facility, comply with all licensing and state notification requirements, and possess a valid New Hampshire Asbestos Remediation Entity License. All work shall meet applicable safety and environmental standards and performance schedules outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
