Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Gainesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Chiller project for Glenkirk and Rockledge ES will be BID as one package. The scope for both schools includes a comprehensive upgrade of existing chiller plants. Specifically, the work will involve: Replacement of existing Chillers to improve system performance and reliability. Installation of new electrical feeds and associated components to support upgraded equipment. Replacement of existing piping and associated components, along with new pipe insulation, to ensure optimal thermal efficiency and minimize energy loss. Installation of new pumps sized for optimal flow and system balance. Upgrading and integrating new control systems for improved automation, monitoring, and energy management. Question Deadline 01/23/2026 at 2:00 PM ET The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder based on a total lump sum basis for each school project as indicated. PWCS reserves the right to make a separate award for each item, a group of items or all items, and to make an award either in whole or in part, whichever is deemed in the best interest of PWCS. PWCS reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of PWCS to be in its best interest. Prevailing Wages apply to this project. All wages, salaries, benefits, and other remuneration payable to any mechanic, laborer, or worker employed, retained, or otherwise hired to perform services in connection with this Contract shall be paid at or above the prevailing wage rate as set forth in Attachment 1 to this IFB and the General Terms and Conditions for Construction Contracts, Division 00, Document 000800, Section 1.2..3.
