**As of February 23, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Furnish, deliver, and install containment mesh at the Cape May County Zoo. Class I caging to be constructed from hollow structural section tube steel 2"x 2" mitered and welded frames with Nett'em 1"x1"x10ga woven wire containment mesh (flat top) welded at each strand to the framing and galvanized after fabrication. Caging is to be a bolt-together system utilizing mending plates with thread-forming screws, and stainless steel angle clips with stainless steel wedge anchors on the floor. Galvanized angle clips w/ zinc sleeve anchors on cmu walls / ceiling. The County of Cape May (hereinafter, "County") is seeking bids for the installation of A thru Z's Nett'em Hand-Woven Stainless Steel Containment Mesh and associated A thru Z Class I caging materials to complete the animal quarantine building at the Cape May County Zoo. There is an existing, unused, concrete block building on site for said purpose. The building was constructed 2017 and has remained unfinished. Containment doors and gating components are required to complete the facility, including interior containment enclosures, connection of the building to the exterior yard, and enclosure of the exterior yard. A. Interior Containment: 1. Two (2) Class I cage fronts (galv.) approx. 8'-0" W x 3'-5" H on cmu wall. One (1) Class I partition approx. 6'-9" W x 3'-5" H on cmu wall. 2. Three (3) Keeper doors galvanized fabricated as Class I caging, doors numbered Q100 / 01, Q101 / 01, and Q102 / 01. Doors will have stainless steel hinges and two lockable slide bolts; high and low except for Q100 / 01 which has one in the center of the door. 3. One (1) ClassI horizontalsliding howdy door approx. 2'-4" x 4'-0" door numbered Q101 / 03. Door to be constructed from 1" thick polypropylene and 1x1x10ga Woven Wire Mesh with Richards-Wilcox 376 series track and trucks, continuous lower door guide, and side captures galvanized. Door will have 1" round holes drilled into the poly spaced at 6". Ref. A623 / 5. Door to be manually operated with Class I smooth push/pull rod operator located at the cage front. 4. Two (2) Class I Guillotine doors approx. 2'-4" x 4'-0" doors numbered Q101 / 02 and Q102 / 02. Doors to be constructed from 1" thick polypropylene with a 1/8" plate cover. Doors will utilize a spring lock assembly. Doors to be manually operated by a Class I trigger counterweight operator located at the cage front. B. Exterior Containment Yard: 1. Mesh roof attachment only for new fence vestibule between the quarantine building and the yard. Mesh will be Nett'em 3x3x1/8 black oxide stainless steel. 2. Eleven (11) Mesh support columns (galv.) at the Quarantine Yard. Seven (7) Columns to be constructed from Std. 10" sch 40 pipe (galvanized) (14'-0" tall). Four (4) Columns to be constructed from XS 10" sch 80 pipe (galvanized) (14'-0" tall). 3/16" cap plates, 2" base plates, Eighty Eight (88) anchor bolts, 3/8" cable tabs, and mesh tie-off halos. Ref. B / S1.00. 3. Fifty (50) Mesh support cable assemblies 1/2 " dia. 6x19 IWRC wire rope (stainlesssteel T304) with thimbles and wire rope clips. Cablesto span from column to column and from column to existing fence. 4. Three thousand nine hundred square feet (3,900 SF) of A Thru Z hand woven Nett'em 3"x3"x1/8" (stainless steel T304 black oxide stainless steel) mesh. Include all required lacing cable (1/8" black oxide stainless steel) and copper nico sleeves to cables & top rail of existing fence. 5. Remove existing top of fence as shown on drawing AD001.
