PROJECT DECSCRIPTION/GENERAL SCOPE The Westin bulkhead and riverwalk is located downstream (east) of the Savanah Convention Center. The bulkhead and riverwalk structure is approximately 800 feet long. The Westin bulkhead has experienced some fill loss behind a portion of its bulkhead that is in need of repair or replacement and in some areas horizontal movement of the bulkhead. The engineering firm will identify the cause of fill loss and assess the condition of existing bulkhead. The firm shall provide recommendations for further inspections or repair/replacement options and management of repair. All engineering services shall be performed in compliance with all local, State, and Federal laws, regulations, and executive orders as applicable and required. The Engineer shall: Perform initial surveys, soil investigations, etc. as needed for design; Prepare design plans and specifications; Apply for and receive all necessary approvals, permits and environmental letters from federal, state, and local agencies; Provide an engineers cost estimate with quantities and line item costs; Prepare bid package and manage bidding process; Provide construction administration; and Prepare record drawings and provide in digital format. The Authority is seeking to contract with a competent engineering firm, registered to practice in the State of Georgia. It is anticipated that the successful firm will have extensive knowledge and expertise in marine design and construction. Finalists and Apparent Awardee(s) are restricted from making public statements or press releases about their selection as finalists or their apparent award. The Authority retains the right to reject any or all submittals, and to waive technicalities, irregularities, and informalities, or cancel this procurement at any time. For violation of this restriction, the Authority reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending respondent.
