Site work and paving for a civil project in Webster, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project includes installation of 12" water line by open cut with and without restrained joints, trenchless construction with restrained joints, and with fusible PVC. This water line will be within City of Webster Fairway Drive ROW and will extend from the existing 12" water line at the northeast corner of Great Wolf Lodge driveway to the existing 10" water line in the Texas Ave ROW. Question Deadline 01/26/2026 at 2:00 PM CT Proposals must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond from a surety company holding a permit in the State of Texas for an amount equal to 5% of the amount bid. The amount of said certified or cashier's check or bond will be forfeited to the OWNER and the bank or surety shall be liable to the OWNER for the amount in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a contract or furnish bonds as hereafter required within ten (10) days after the date of notice of award. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or reject the bid. 2.01 CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and all labor and superintendence necessary for construction of the work described herein. The completed work shall not lack any part which can be reasonably implied as necessary for proper and useful operation of the facility. 2.02 The work, in general, consists of the following: A. Implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Measures. B. Clearing and grubbing. C. Installation of 12" PVC water line by open cut with and without restrained joints. D. Installation of 12" PVC water line by trenchless construction. E. Installation of 12" fusible PVC water line by open cut and trenchless construction. F. Installation of fire hydrants, gate valves, and other fittings as shown on drawings. G. Testing of constructed facilities. H. Site clean up and restoration. 1. Work of the contract isfor the construction of the proposed City of Webster Fairway Drive Water Line Extension, including 12-inch AWWA C900 Waterline by trenchless and open cut construction. Provide materials, labor, equipment, and superintendence in accordance with these Technical Specifications, Project Drawings, and Contract Documents. Contractor's responsibilities include, but not limited to, construction sequencing in accordance with the Contract Documents, quality control of workmanship and materials, handling of all material, handling and legal disposal of all waste, and compliance with regulatory standards governing the work. The work includes but is not limited to the following: a. General Items 1) Mobilization 2) Installation of Traffic Control Devices 3) Installation of Inlet Protection Barrier (Stage I & II) 4) Installation of Reinforced Filter Fabric Barrier 5) Installation of Stabilized Construction Access 6) Implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan 7) Site Restoration 8) Installation of Trench Safety System 9) Clearing and Grubbing b. Water Line Items 1) Installation of 12-inch waterline by Open Cut Construction with and without restrained joints 2) Installation of 12-inch waterline in 18" HDPE Casing by Trenchless construction with restrained joints 3) Installation of 12-inch Fusible PVC waterline by Open Cut Construction 4) Installation of 12-inch Fusible PVC waterline in 18" HDPE Casing by Trenchless Construction 5) Installation of Fire Hydrant assemblies including hydrant, branch, gate valve with box, restrained joints, 6-inch Gate Valve 6) Installation of 12-inch Wet Connection 7) Installation of 10-inch Wet Connection 8) Installation of 12" Gate Valve with Valve Box c. Extra Unit Price Items (To be completed as directed by Engineer)
