Sealed bids are invited from contractors for the C4400 Monmouth Roseville Central Toilet Remodel at Monmouth-Roseville Central Intermediate School, 401 East 2nd Avenue, Monmouth, IL 61462. The work generally includes renovating existing toilet rooms and alternate bids for miscellaneous general work. All work is subject to applicable laws, including the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the "Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act)." Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond amounting to 5% of the Base Bid, payable to the Board of Education. The successful bidder must provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost, within ten days after acceptance. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of bids.
