Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of the construction of Public Water Supply Well No. 5, and the Well No. 5 Pumphouse, completion of SCADA system updates, abandonment of Well No. 2, and demolition of the Well No. 2 Pumphouse. Contract A involves construction of a 1,200 gallon per minute municipal well to a depth of 106 feet, well development, performance pump testing, water quality analysis, erosion control, restoration of the work area, and other miscellaneous items in conformance with the contract documents. Contract B covers construction of the Well No. 5 Pumphouse building, including furnishing and installing all well pump equipment, piping, valves, accessories, and controls. The building includes a pump room, chemical room, and restroom. The contract also includes installation of a natural gas-powered emergency electrical generator, erosion control, site work, site piping, driveway, pavement, restoration of the work area, pump testing, water quality testing, and other miscellaneous items. It also includes demolition of the Well No. 2 Pumphouse, including building demolition, excavation, disconnection or abandonment of water main and other utilities, backfilling, grading, and site restoration. Existing equipment from Well No. 2 is to be salvaged and reused in the proposed Well No. 5 Pumphouse. Well No. 2 is to be abandoned by removing and disposing or salvaging existing equipment, removing the casing to 3 feet below final grade, filling with approved materials, and submitting a Well/Drillhole Abandonment Report. Additionally, SCADA system updates include removal and disposal of existing SCADA system equipment and installation of new equipment at the existing Well Nos. 1, 3, & 4, pumphouses, reservoirs site, and the proposed Well No. 5 Pumphouse. All bids must be uploaded and submitted through Quest with an EJCDC C430 Bid Bond equal to five percent of the bid payable to the owner and must be accompanied by Bid Form 00 41 43. Bidders are required to pay not less than the Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates. Domestic procurement and American Iron and Steel requirements must be met. Certification and documentation must be provided for compliance. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 30 days after opening. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals.
