Sealed bids from skilled and experienced companies for Livingston County MIP Service Area Three Infrastructure Construction throughout Livingston County are being solicited. All bids must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid for MIP Construction SA-3." E-mailed or faxed bids are not accepted. Bidders assume responsibility for timely delivery to the specified location. Late submissions will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Bidding Documents may be obtained by emailing or calling the Office of the Engineer, and all bidders must register to receive addenda. Only written Requests for Information (RFIs) will be accepted by email. Answers to questions and any necessary addenda will be distributed to all who have obtained the bidding documents. The Project consists of the construction of an extension of the existing fiber optic network designated as Service Area 3 within Livingston County, NY. Work includes the installation of fiber optic cabling on existing utility poles, on new Contractor installed utility poles, underground by directional drilling,plowing, micro trenching or other accepted means. New cabling will be spliced into the existing fiber optic network and tested as required for a completely operational network. Owner will furnish the following for installation by Contractor: 1. Fiber Optic Cable; 48+count, on Reels. 2. Wooden Utility Poles. 3. Galvanized Strand. 4. Lashing Wire. 5. HDPE Conduit - 1.25 inch and Couplers. 6. Handhole Assemblies. 7. Tracer Wire, Splices, and Terminal Blocks. 8. Warning Bollards. 9. RF Markers. 10. Aerial Termination Taps. 11. Splice Closures - 4 and 8 port. 12. Splitters - 1x8. Attention is drawn to the County's sales tax exemption, conditions of employment, and prevailing wage rates to be observed under the contract. Bidders must meet qualification requirements detailed in the Bidding Documents. Each bid must include a bid bond security of at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount; certified or bank checks are not accepted. Bids must also include a fully executed Non-Collusion Certification and Appendix "D" Certification "Iranian Energy Sector Divestment" pursuant to New York State law.
