The project is for a new bridge superstructure on Iris Road. Sealed bids clearly marked for Bid 2026-11: New Bridge Superstructure on Iris Road will be accepted. Late bids will be disqualified. The county will not accept collect calls, COD shipments, postage due mailings, or emailed bids. The County Commission reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Bid specifications are available at the office of the Newton County Commission. he Newton County Commission is soliciting bids for a Pre - cast Non Pre -Stressed Concrete Deck Panels Bridge . Bid is to be less footings , abutments , and head walls . The slabs must be HS -20 loading design . The panel's shop drawings must be furnished with prints bearing a state of Missouri engineer's seal on the prints . Slabs to have overall length on center line of 30 ' 0" , total width of deck 22 ' 8" . Thickness of slabs will be 15 " . Slabs to be 30 degrees left ahead . Suitable anchorage devices for lifting panels may be cast into panels provided they are shown on the shop drawings . Slabs must have anchor holes cast in slab to anchor to headwall . The slabs must have weld tabs to connect slabs together meeting AASHTO design requirements . The two outer slabs must provide provision for attaching guardrail posts which meets AASHTO design requirements . The preferred method is embedments allowing for field welding of the handrail posts by the county at the spacing shown on the guardrail plans . A bolted guardrail post connection is also acceptable . Price is to include slabs , bearing pads , grout , weld bars , and a standard highway guardrail system for the deck including all fasteners . Bid will include cost of delivery to job site . The supplier of slab deck must furnish lifting devices cast into slabs and hook ups from slabs to crane hook .
