Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Harrison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project entails the milling and resurfacing of Washington and Hamilton Streets with Alternate A Route 280 Service Road and No. 2nd Street. The work shall also include the replacement of handicap curb ramps, curb, deteriorated sidewalk, minor base repair at directed locations and catch basin reconstruction within the project limits. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form contained in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the name of the project and the name and address of the Bidder. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). A certificate from a Surety Company indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents is also required. No contractor shall bid unless registered pursuant to The Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Additionally, no contractor shall list a subcontractor in a bid proposal for the contract unless the subcontractor is registered at the time the bid is made. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127(NJAC 17:27) (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1963, c. 150 (Prevailing Wage), N.J.S.A. 10:2-1, et.seq., and the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all bids under certain circumstances or to waive any minor informalities or non-material exceptions in a bid where such is not detrimental to the best interest of the Town of Harrison and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If Bidders fail to fully understand any clause or requirement of the Contract Documents, inquiry must be made of the Engineer for an interpretation in advance of the submission of the bid. Also, Bidders shall promptly notify the Engineer of any ambiguity, inconsistency, or error which they may discover upon examination of the Contract Documents or of the site and local conditions. Such inquiries or notices shall be in writing and shall be received by the Engineer Question Deadline 01/30/2026
