Market Street Improvements The scope of Work contemplated for the above-named project includes replacing limited sections of sidewalk, installation of handicap accessible curb ramps where applicable, milling of the existing pavement surface and a 2-inch pavement surface course overlay, and restriping the roadway. Additionally, signage will be installed for the limits of the project, including push-button crossing signage as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents for Market Street. All Work on this Contract shall be completed within Sixty (60) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Perth Amboy, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded, the bidder will enter into a formal agreement with the City. The amount of the bid security shall be ten percent (10%) of the total bid, but shall not exceed $20,000.00, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21.
