Construction of two new BAF and two new dual-media filters to increase firm filtration capacity to 20 MGD at a loading rate of 4 GPM/sf with one filter out of service With the addition of two new BAF and two new dual-media filters, the project expands Benton's WTP firm filtration capacity (one filter out of service) from 15 MGD to 20 MGD. This will allow for reduced filter loading rates, which will operate at or below 4 gpm/sf with one filter out of service or in backwash. Other project's required to allow for an expanded firm treatment capacity of 20 MGD include WT-08 (Gravity Thickener Overflow Recycle), and WT-09 (Gravity Thickener 2). The scope of services will also include the following: o Data review and field investigations o Basis of Design Report o Process & hydraulic evaluation o Design of dual media filters and filter expansion o Permitting and regulatory requirements o Construction cost estimation o Bid Phase Services o Select Construction Administration Services and inspection, o As Built survey and plans.
